Another diner, Andrés Fiore, recalls feeling genuinely welcomed despite arriving without a reservation, enjoying the "absolutely incredible" Black Sheep Burger in relaxed outdoor seating under ideal weather. Me and my husband went on a kid free date night here and it was absolutely amazing! Our server was the sweetest, every bit of food we got was delicious and full of flavor! The rolls were the best we’ve had, the smoked oysters was beyond worth it, the 16 oz ribeye steak was cooked perfect (medium), with red skinned mashed potatoes. We shared a plate and it was enough for us to be satisfied. We ended up ending with their Georgia peach cobbler with ice cream and wow it was amazing! We had a wonderful night here! If you want a nice date night come here!!

"Oh, wow. This is cozy" is what you'll say when you see this place. The food is beyond cozy. It's savory and more than you'd expect. Our server, Eric, was a gentle man with a kind spirit. He loves his customers and made our anniversary dinner special. The beer braised lamb shank was perfection and creme brulee for dessert was the perfect palette cleanser. Highly recommend making a reservation, even if it's at the bar. Ambiance is great no matter what room indoor or outdoor. Go!

We absolutely loved the vibe at Black Sheep. We went without a reservation and they still treated us amazingly well — super friendly and welcoming staff. The weather was perfect, so we chose to sit outside, and it turned out to be the best decision. The burger I ordered was absolutely incredible — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also got an appetizer (can’t remember the name, but it was delicious). They had a happy hour, so we tried a couple of Bloody Marys, and they were seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The whole experience was just perfect — great food, great drinks, and a relaxed, classy atmosphere. Definitely one of the must-visit spots in Blue Ridge!

Frequent visitor to Blue Ridge, first time at the Black Sheep. We both had the Nashville Hot Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles. My goodness, so good. The waffle was not overly sweet, cream cheese icing drizzle wasn't overpowering, and the chicken had a great kick. Not things I would have pictured putting together before this visit, but it WORKED. We also had the seasonal cocktail - I can't remember what it was called, but our server Audrey (who was FABULOUS) said it was basically iced hot chocolate in a martini, and she wasn't wrong. Well worth the visit. Service was fantastic, food was great, environment was cozy. Audrey gave us local recommendations for things to do during the rest of our visit. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyable visit. The restaurant is homey and has a cool vibe. Great outside area. We got the duck and stuffed salmon, oysters and pork belly. The duck was perfectly cooked, but the combo of the sweet potatoes the sweet confit on the duck was too much sugar. There needed some salt on that plate. The oysters were good but too much of the chimichurri on top, you lost the oyster taste. The food was really good overall, I’m just giving some culinary critique, and the service was on point. Would definitely return and recommend to others! Great place!
